Man in the Middle (of Double Greeting)

I was nervous the notoriously dingy space in a not so nice part of downtown would be repelling. However, with Paul's growing knowlege of Chinese, I finally decided he was ready to visit (handle) my favourite greasy spoon, Double Greeting (Seven Happiness).

He liked it!

One of the restaurant's "features": Customers write their own orders on paper slip.  We poured over the menu (Chinese and English listings - making for a fun little language lesson).  Paul then copied the characters for our choices.  The food arrived - greasy as it should be.

An added bonus, shockingly, was the Bee Gees tribute woven right into the booths' upolstery.

Maybe this place is hipper than I give it credit for.

(Below: Paul sees two of the brothers Gibbs, I see one.)
