Our photo album won't be complete without photos of our guests and their perspective of the day, so much appreciated if you would share your photos and videos. Thank you!

The officials photos are here!  After teasing us with previews on facebook, Wilson dropped off a disc of all the photos he took and edited of Paul and my wedding. 

Totally unexpected, he also put highlights into a video. 

Wilson did a great job, but it's always tough looking at photos of myself.  On the plus side, repeated viewings have made it a little easier. 

Below are photos that didn't make it into the highlights video, but I think help tell a better story of the photoshoot and the day in general.

There were some skeptical moments. 

And plenty of silly ones too. 

Catherine made my eye makeup gorgeous - good thing since I was oh so sleepy (and wasn't allowed to wear my sunglasses most of the time).

Pockets are comfortable and theoretically practical, but hard to pull off unless you have long arms and don't want to carry anything thicker or heavier than a pack of cards. Oh, and it makes it look like I'm missing a hand.

A bunny!  My sister, Angela, deftly made sure everything ran smoothly. 

There were tears... 

... along with laughs. 

Our officiant had some suprises for us, but ultimately glowed. 

Amidst the cat herding, Rem had some fun.

And, once the ceremony was over, my ladies showed their true colours.

More moving.  It's hard getting through these scrappy bits.  I'm tempted to throw it all in a box and thinking about it later... Wait, that's why I have all this random stuff now, right? 

Though it's probably predictable, I was still surprised by all the makeup and skin care stuff.  Unfortunately, a lot of it has expired or gone bad.  My one consolation: There's a recycling program specifically for makeup packaging!. 

I've joined the brigade - TerraCycle's Garnier sponsored Personal Care and Beauty Brigade®.  I'm to collect personal care and beauty packaging*, send it in to TerraCycle, and they recycle it into new products. 

At first this seemed needless work when the City of Edmonton already does so much recycling.  But when I wrote to Waste Management for more information on its recycling program, this is the response I received: 

"... Travel size bottles and such (along with perfume a containers and anything that has a strong odour to it) best go in the garbage. The larger containers and items mention in the guide are recyclables that we have uses for and buyers, small items are very difficult to retrieve from the mountains of recyclable materials."

Basically, all the small (or smelly scented) things still end up in landfills because there are few-to-no buyers and a lot of labour involved in sorting.  This seems like a need where TerraCycle fits perfectly.

And eventhough individually things are small, I can see even just with the products I use (and then there's Mom's and sisters'...) that there is a lot in total.  So, please, if you have such products that cannot be recycled through the regular stream, please save them for me.  You might be surprised too.
