Ugh.

Things that seem really disgusting right now:

- Coconut (the thought of, but not the actual taste)
- Watermelon salad
- My laundry detergent fragrance

Eating Light(hearted)

"When a pregnant woman goes bike touring, she will eat the world!" ~ Steph

I think I can understand now why some pregnant women eat so much.  Well, so much more than strictly needed.  There's less shame and baggage about weight gain. Now when I'm hungry, I eat.  I try to eat things that are healthy and nutritious (but maybe not as organic as I should) and I do it gladly.  I don't eat and worry about becoming fat.  I don't let myself go hungry.  Instead, I think, this is good -- I'm building discipline and "being good".  My baby is getting the nutrients it needs.  I eat with pleasure and gusto.

Sure, I don't want to eat in excess, but I 'm trying to believe that when my body wants something, it's something I should be having / doing.

Wow, this makes me reaslise just how messed up my regular life is when it comes to food...

Don't Panic. Smile.

Me: "We should have one more [special occasion chocolate]."
Paul: "... It's August the 1st?... Happy three years, two months, and six days anniversary?
Me: "No."
Paul: "Wait is this something good that I know?"
Me: "Apparently not with those guesses."
Paul: "...?"
Me: "I'm pregnant."
Paul (jumping up): "Are you joking?!"
Me: "No."
Paul: "O.k.... don't panic..."

And when we don't panic, we can smile.
