New Ankle Discoveries

"Walk like someone without an ankle injury."

I decided to go back to physio and was surprised that I didn't know what Carolyn (same physiotherapist) was talking about (above).  I've been walking strangely?  Sure there's a little pain for certain actions, but generally, I've been doing o.k.

Anyway, turns out there was another surprise: There have been new discoveries related to treating ankle injuries!  They found that instead of just leaving them be, by using something like a cast to support the ankle, scar tissue would develop in the area and help to strengthen it!  (Difficult to visualise, but it made sense on the foot model.)

I'm pretty excited about this.  So, every night a "cast" of tensor bandages and tape just above the ankle.  Fingers crossed!
